Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is appropriate for people of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. Therapy addresses numerous conditions, such as major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders by interrogating and uprooting negative or irrational beliefs. CBT rests on the idea that thoughts and perceptions influence behavior. This type of therapy is considered a "solutions-oriented" form of therapy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy strives to teach it is often not what has happened to you but how you perceive what has happened that causes your symptoms.

Individual treatment involves one-on-one counseling sessions with counselor. The goal is to help the client with emotional or relationship issues. While also supporting the client with identifying and defining their best path of life by bringing more clarity.

As individual’s journey through the stages of development many changes and challenges come with these transitions. One-on-One counseling can be beneficial by supporting child/adolescent with overcoming obstacles, developing healthy interpersonal skills, healthy mental/physical habits and

improving mind-body connection.

Building on Personal Strengths  |  Communication Skills  |  Coping Strategies  |  Emotional Regulation  | Problem Solving

Couples therapy is often referred to as marriage or couples counseling. The overall goal of this type of therapy is to improve clients’ relationship.

 

Although the focus is on the couple, there are times when one or both individuals may find that separate, one-on-one counseling sessions are necessary to address specific needs. This is perfectly normal and often essential to aid in growth as a couple.

 

Before couples can truly focus on how to be happy together, it is important to understand individual needs and wants and how to support one another with meeting

those needs.
